The name is a typo introduced by me. It should be Ourania.
My mother – doctor for Mykonians and maker of lunch for 20 people at a time at Agios Sostis before the taverna – was a very well liked woman indeed.
But her name ‘Jorunn’, was deemed to sound too close to the Greek word for pig, and she was recristened ‘Ourania’ which means ‘heavenly’ or ‘of the sky’. I only heard it said, not written, and wrote it as i heard it. When I realised ‘Orania’ was the name of a white-only town in South Africa, it was too late.
All relevant web-domains of Ourania are taken now. Regret.
